Diference between Patentassesor and Patentanwalt?

Dear all

can you explain me the diference between Patentassesor and Patentanwalt, is it just the German distinction between trainee and one who has passed the exam?

Or is there a difference in the scope of work?

both have finished their education. The difference is only that one of them is an employee in a (industrial) company and the other is a lawyer in a law firm

almost, but not quite correct.

the difference is that the Patentanwalt is member of the Patentanwaltskammer (Chamber of Patent Lawyers) with all possible consequences, while the Patentassesor is not ... a Patentassesor may for example not act as counsel for a third party, while the Patentanwalt may.

but yes, both have passed the German Exam...
